Due to the impending storm, from the remnants of Hurricane Laura, set to hit the Bristol, VA area late Friday night and into Saturday, the Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series has made the tough decision to postpone this weekend’s racing at Harleywood in Bristol, VA. The race will be made-up the following weekend, September 5-6 at the same location. The Harleywood Remix round previously scheduled for those dates will now be run as a one-day event on Labor Day, September 7th. The remix round will still feature a completely new enduro test, and will run the cross test in reverse direction with the course being groomed following Sunday’s racing.
“This was an incredibly hard decision to have to make, but given the weather forecast for winds up to 30mph and 2-inches of rain, we feel as though it’s the right decision for everyone involved from the racers to our landowners,” said series promoter, Jason Hooper.
“Anyone who has been to a Full Gas knows that the amount of ribbon and stakes we use for our cross tests would not hold up with that kind of wind, it’s also incredibly dangerous for people to be in the woods in those conditions as well,” Hooper added.
All pre-entered riders will be automatically transferred to next weekend’s event. Anyone who needs to request a refund from either this originally scheduled Harleywood or the Harlyewood Remix can do so at the following link: https://www.sprintenduro.com/2020/06/2020-refund-or-transfer-request/
Since it will be a one-day event, the Harleywood Remix registration fee will be reduced. Stay tuned for details on registration for that. Partial refunds will be given to all riders pre-entered for the Remix.
