Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series Announces Addition of Pro2 Class for 2018

Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series Announces Addition of Pro2 Class for 2018

Hickory, NC— The KENDA Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series (FGSE) is pleased to announce the addition of an all-new developmental pro class for the 2018 racing season. The FGSE Pro2 class is designed for up-and-coming pro riders to cut their teeth in the exciting Full Gas format of racing and as a stepping stone to the highly-competitive Pro class.

Following similar rules to the Pro2 class for the AMA National Enduro Series, the FGSE Pro2 class will be limited to pro riders who have not raced in the GNCC XC1 Pro Class, and have not finished inside the top-5 overall in the GNCC XC2 Pro Class in the previous two seasons.

“We’ve had a lot of requests from racers to make an additional Pro class for the 2018 season and we’re happy to oblige,” said series founder, Jason Hooper. “We understand that the transition from the A classes to the Pro class in our series is very steep given the incredibly talented racers competing for our Pro championship, so it only makes sense to create a platform for new pro riders to continue their development and ultimately advance to our premier Pro division,” added Hooper. “The Pro2 class will feature its own podium presentation as well as a 100% payback purse at every round. We want to help these young pro riders get exposure and put some money back in their pockets at the end of the weekend.”

With the addition of this new class, more rider qualification standards have been applied to the Pro class for the 2018 FGSE season. For 2018 all GNCC XC1 and National Enduro Pro Class riders must ride the Pro class at FGSE Events. Also, all past FGSE, GNCC, and NEPG champions from the previous five years must race in the Pro class. These rules are intended to keep the playing field level in both the Pro and Pro2 classes.

Complete FGSE Series rules can be found online at sprintenduro.com.
